The Langtang Region is one of the closest regions, only around 130 kms away from Kathmandu. The Langtang Valley has long been a favorite trek due to its extensive views, interesting Tamang culture, relatively gentle leap and accessibility from Kathmandu. The entire valley is subjugated by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246 m/23766 ft) and is filled by pine forests, rapid-flowing mountain streams, rocky and snow-capped peaks, lush lawn and meadows.
Flying through magnificent forests to the high alpine meadows and yak pastures around a Buddhist monastery-Kyangjin Gompa, the top of Kyangjin Ri peak hosts a 360-degree view of the Himalayan mountains that are truly spectacular. All of this makes the Langtang region a journey worth experiencing.
